A multinational information technology services and consulting company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) introduced the “Quick Joiner Incentive Plan.”

The company is offering its suppliers ₹40,000 ($512) for each new hire who joins within 30 days, aiming to expedite the recruitment of skilled professionals.

However, if an employee leaves within six months, the incentive is forfeited. This indicates TCS’s anticipation of heightened market demand and its requirement for experienced personnel to handle upcoming projects. Despite a market valuation of Rs 15.2 trillion, TCS has refrained from commenting on this matter, signaling a strategic decision to remain silent on the issue.

Recently, the company has been recognized as a Global Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute  Opens in a new tab, a global authority that honours excellence in people practices. TCS’ pioneering employee engagement and talent development initiatives have reinforced its position as a global employer of choice for the ninth consecutive year.

In the fast-changing technology landscape, TCS has made significant investments in upskilling initiatives for employees in next-gen competencies.

Over 205,000 TCS associates have been trained in basic competencies of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in the past year. More than 72,000 TCS employees have graduated from the Contextual Masters™ program, which encourages experienced employees with deep knowledge about the technology landscape and their customer’s businesses to deliver value.

The company associates have adopted a culture of continuous learning and clocked an impressive 39.7M learning hours and acquired 3.7M competencies so far this year. These include 515K+ high-demand competencies.

TCS’ ability to attract and nurture talent has resulted in high employee satisfaction and an industry-best retention rate of 86.7%.

The company is also a supporter of young talent and has a large ecosystem of initiatives in place to nurture the STEM skills pipeline.
