Vardhman Group appoints Aakash Thakur as VP – Corporate HR

Aakash Thakur, an accomplished International Human Resources leader has joined Vardhman Group as Vice President – Corporate Human Resources.

Vardhman Group is India’s largest vertically integrated textile manufacturer with multiple production facilities across India and engaged in manufacturing and trading in Yarn and Processed Fabric, Sewing Thread, Acrylic fibre, and Alloy steel), headquartered in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

He boasts 17 years of experience, before joining Vardhman Group, he was associated with Omya for 3 years, most recently he was working as Director-HR, South Asia. Previously Aakash also worked with companies like; Reliance Industries, Aarti Industries, and Alam Group in leadership roles.

Aakash brings a wealth of experience with a distinguished career spanning diverse industries including Multinationals (MNCs), Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Pharmaceuticals, Drugs, Fertilizers, Retail, Wholesale, Cash & Carry operations, and Corporate Offices in Asia Pacific, Middle East, and India,

Having held strategic HR roles at Fortune 500 and multi-billion-dollar global companies, Aakash has been instrumental in shaping organizational success and driving transformative change.

In recognition of his expertise, Aakash has been invited by premier institutions like IITs and IIMs for guest lectures and master classes. He has led panel discussions at national and international conferences, showcasing his thought leadership in the HR domain.

Akash is an alumnus of Himachal Pradesh University and IMT Ghaziabad.
