A greenfield venture of the Tata Group manufactures precision electronic components, Tata Electronics is planning to hire nearly 35000 people.

Why is Tata Electronics hiring?

As reported by Business Standard, Tata Electronics, which is expanding its iPhone assembly hub at Koothanapalli in Tamil Nadu’s Hosur, is set to increase its employee strength by 175 percent to 55,000 from 20,000 now and to hire nearly 35000 people.

This expansion aligns with the company’s strategic emphasis on scaling up operations and ramping up production. By doing so, Tata Electronics is poised to address the escalating demand for iPhones not only within India but also in other markets.

The surge in hiring at Tata Electronics coincides with reports indicating ongoing discussions between the company and Pegatron Corporation, to acquire its unit near Chennai.
