Plum appoints Priya Sunil as Chief Human Resources Officer

India’s leading insurtech platform, Plum has appointed Priya Sunil as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Abhishek Poddar, Cofounder and CEO of Plum said, “By welcoming Priya to the Plum team, we aim to cultivate an environment that fuels high-quality growth and instills a strong sense of mission and purpose—delivering the highest quality insurance and healthcare to people.”

“Her expertise in fostering an empowering and inclusive workplace culture will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate”, Abhishek Poddar added.

On her appointment as Chief Human Resource Officer, Priya Sunil said, “This role gives me the opportunity to build on Plum’s ideology and spearhead a function that enables the company to be a place where talent thrives and flourishes.”

She has nearly 17 years of professional experience in diverse roles across different organizations, with a focus on various aspects of talent management and organizational development.

Priya believes that all individuals have immense potential and that creating the right culture to enable their growth is key to an effective people and culture leader.

Her core strengths lie in talent strategy, acquisition, talent development, building culture, people development, designing learning spaces, coaching, and facilitation. She is deeply passionate about building an inclusive and diverse workplace.

Prior to the current role, she was associated with The/Nudge Institute as Head- People & Culture. Her previous, stints include working with Ashoka University, Akanksha, and Human Factors International.

Priya holds her Master’s in Psychology from Mumbai University and completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Jai Hind College.
