On August 21, 2024, Jagdish Mitra, the former India business head of Tech Mahindra, made waves in the tech industry by launching Humanize—a generative AI IP-powered Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup.

Just four months after bidding adieu to the IT services giant, Jagdish embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that promises to revolutionize how businesses leverage artificial intelligence. Let’s delve into the details of this exciting venture.

About Humanize

Humanize aims to address a critical challenge faced by businesses worldwide: the lack of structured and organized data that can be harnessed effectively for AI-driven solutions.

Jagdish recognized this gap and set out to create a solution that would empower enterprises to take advantage of AI more efficiently.

The startup’s mission is to reduce the time it takes to develop and deploy SaaS solutions. They are doing this by integrating generative AI and low code/no code (LCNC) technology.

At the heart of Humanize lies its proprietary GenAI toolkit.

This toolkit promises to accelerate the deployment of SaaS platforms by 15–25%. This will allow businesses to bring their solutions to market faster.

By combining software-as-a-service technology with AI capabilities, Humanize aims to transform the traditional revenue model into an outcome-oriented approach. Jagdish’s vision is clear: move away from manpower-oriented models and focus on tangible results.

Market Focus and Monetization Strategies

Humanize has its sights set on both India and the United States. Initially, the startup will target global capability centers (GCCs) within enterprises.

However, Jagdish envisions expanding into markets such as Southeast Asia, Germany, the Nordic countries. The United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan are also some of the target countries.

The startup’s offerings will concentrate on three key areas: customer experience, supply chain optimization, and sustainability.

As for monetization, Humanize plans a dual strategy. Initially, it will adopt a project-oriented, services-based model. However, the ultimate goal is to transition to an outcome-based model.

If Humanize can reduce costs and enhance efficiency for its clients by 10–15%, it will share in those gains. This innovative approach aligns with Jagdish’s commitment to reshaping the industry’s revenue norms.

Hiring Plans and Customer Onboarding

Humanize currently boasts a team of 14–15 senior executives at leadership levels.

Over the next five years, the startup aims to hire 800–1,000 professionals. Additionally, it plans to onboard 80–100 customers during its initial years of operation.

The synergy between Humanize and NLB Services, which invested in the startup, positions it for success in the competitive GenAI landscape.
