In a significant boost to the Indian IT industry, Wipro Limited, one of the country’s leading IT services companies, has ambitious hiring plans for this month.

The company has posted nearly 2000 job opportunities across various roles, including fresh graduates and management trainees.

This move comes as a positive sign for the sector, which faced challenges during the pandemic but is now witnessing a resurgence in demand for skilled talent.

Hiring Details

Wipro’s decision to ramp up its workforce aligns with the broader trend in the IT sector.

After a cautious approach in the previous fiscal year due to global economic uncertainties, Wipro is now bullish on hiring freshers.

Industry experts predict that fresher hiring will grow by 20-25% in FY25 compared to the previous year.

This surge is driven by the need to fill skill gaps, drive digital transformation, and reduce reliance on experienced lateral hires. The company is hiring both management trainees and freshers.

Wipro’s recruitment drive will target critical areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data analytics.

These domains are at the forefront of technological advancements, and Wipro aims to strengthen its capabilities by bringing in young talent with fresh perspectives.

This move reflects Wipro’s commitment to nurturing young minds and providing them with growth opportunities.

About Wipro

Wipro’s technology and IT consulting services enable enterprises to build innovative solutions for addressing the most complex digital transformation needs.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 3,036.6 crore for the first quarter of the current financial year (FY25), up 5.2 per cent from the year-ago period.

In Q1FY25, Wipro’s headcount increased by 337, reversing a decline that had lasted six quarters. This was due to the onboarding of approximately 3,000 NGAs to whom offers had been made earlier.

Wipro plans to tap into campus talent pools across India. The company will actively participate in campus placements, aiming to hire 10,000-12,000 fresh graduates during the current fiscal year.
