Cognizant is looking to set-up its biggest centre of India in Bhubaneswar. Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday.
During a meeting with Chief Minister Majhi, Cognizant CEO discussed the potential development of the biggest campus in the state.
The Odisha government has agreed to allocate land in Bhubaneswar and provide all necessary support for the project.
Ravi Kumar, who is from Odisha, expressed confidence in the future growth of Cognizant’s existing centre in Bhubaneswar, highlighting its expansion potential over the next five years.
The CM sought his cooperation for bringing more investments in the IT sector in Odisha, and he assured all help, it said.
Majhi congratulated him for his success and the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman being conferred on him.
Cognizant Expands in India with Major Hiring Initiatives
Cognizant has announced significant expansion plans in India, aiming to create thousands of jobs across Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, and Indore.
Hyderabad Growth: A new facility spanning 10 lakh square feet will serve as a major operational hub, creating over 15,000 jobs.
TechFin Center in GIFT City: A TechFin center in Gandhinagar, focused on banking and financial technologies, will open by February 2025. Starting with 500 employees, the center will expand to 2,000 in three years.
Indore Operations: Cognizant’s first Indore center, inaugurated at Brilliant Titanium, will initially provide 1,500 jobs, with plans to grow to 20,000.
