Cisco has launched its Virtual Internship Program 2025, offering students a fully remote, hands-on learning experience in networking, cybersecurity, AI, cloud computing, and DevOps.

The program, conducted in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), aims to equip over 100,000 students across India with career-relevant certifications, mentorship, and guided project work.

Applications are open until May 31, 2025, making this one of the most accessible and impactful tech internships of the year.

Program Overview and Key Features

The Cisco Virtual Internship Program 2025 is designed to provide practical exposure to students pursuing engineering and technical diploma courses.

Some of its standout features include:

  • Self-Paced Learning Modules: Interns will receive foundation training in cybersecurity, networking, cloud computing, AI, and DevOps.
  • Live Webinars & Mentorship: Cisco engineers and NetAcad mentors will conduct interactive sessions to provide real-world insights.
  • Project-Based Learning: Interns will work on capstone projects, solving real-world challenges through peer collaboration.
  • Final Assessment & Certification: Participants will undergo quizzes and evaluations, earning Cisco–AICTE certificates and digital badges upon completion.

Eligibility Criteria

The internship is open to:

  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year students enrolled in engineering or technical diploma programs.
  • Students from AICTE-approved colleges or Cisco NetAcad partner institutions.
  • Candidates with a keen interest in technology, digital innovation, or cybersecurity.
  • Final-year students are not eligible for this program.

Cisco Virtual Internship Duration and Application Process

  • Duration: The internship runs from June to July 2025 (2 months).
  • Location: 100% remote (Work From Home).
  • Stipend: Some listings mention a ₹10,000/month stipend, but most emphasize certification over monetary compensation.
  • Certification: Interns will receive a joint Cisco–AICTE certificate and digital badges for each learning milestone.
  • Number of Openings: Over 100,000 seats available.
  • Deadline to Apply: May 31, 2025.
  • How to Apply: Applications can be submitted via the AICTE Internship Portal or UnStop before the deadline.

Industry Impact and AI Integration

Cisco’s initiative aligns with the growing trend of AI-driven learning and remote work opportunities.

As companies increasingly adopt digital solutions, virtual internships are becoming a preferred model for skill development and workforce training.

The program also reflects Cisco’s commitment to nurturing young talent and preparing them for future industry challenges.
