The State Mission Management Unit, AMRUT Kerala, has announced an internship opportunity in Municipal Finance for eligible candidates.

The full-time internship, based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, offers selected candidates a monthly stipend of ₹10,000. The program begins immediately and will run for a duration of six months.

Applications are invited until October 10, 2025, and the initiative is being offered under the TULIP (The Urban Learning Internship Program) framework, which is designed to provide students and fresh graduates with practical exposure in the field of urban governance and development.

Program Overview

Interns will gain hands-on experience in municipal finance, contributing to projects under the AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) scheme.

The program aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and exposure to understand the complexities of urban financial management.

This initiative also provides a unique platform for students to engage with public policy, planning, and fiscal operations at the city level.

Eligibility Criteria

The internship is open to students from academic backgrounds such as B.Com, M.Com, MBA, and MA with specializations in Finance or Economics.

Candidates must be available for the full six-month duration and demonstrate relevant skills and interests in the field.

Terms of Engagement

The terms of engagement will strictly adhere to the TULIP Handbook and Guidelines, ensuring a structured and enriching experience for all participants.

The program emphasizes both professional growth and meaningful contribution to urban financial governance.

Application Deadline

Interested candidates must apply by October 10, 2025. With limited slots available, applicants are encouraged to submit their applications promptly to secure this opportunity.

This internship not only provides valuable professional exposure but also offers a stepping stone for those aspiring to build careers in finance, economics, and public administration, particularly within the sphere of urban development.

Interested candidates can apply through AICTE Internship Portal.

By bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application, AMRUT Kerala continues to strengthen its mission of nurturing young talent in public sector finance.
