Reliance to provide double salaries to its employees

Reliance to provide double salaries to all its employees whose salary is less than Rs 30,000

According to Times of India, Reliance Industries has announced that the employees who are below the salary range of Rs 30000 will be paid their salary twice in order to protect their cash flow and mitigate any overwhelming financial burden.

The company will continue to pay contract and temporary workers, even the work is halted due to coronavirus outbreak, RIL has extended the work-from-home platform to most of its employees except those who handle critical roles in maintaining Reliance Jio network.

“However, Reliance’s chain of grocery stores – Reliance Fresh, will now work with extended hours from 7 am to 11 pm”

Reliance Foundation Hospital in collaboration with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) set up a dedicated 100- bedded centre at Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai for patients who test positive for COVID-19. The company also donated Rs. 5 crore to Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The company will also provide free fuel for all emergency service vehicles used to transport:

  • COVID-19 patients (service is provided only for vehicle used for COVID-19 patients and as per list provided by Government agencies, to ensure efficient impact and withdrawal post end of pandemic) to and from quarantine and isolation facilities.
  • Quarantined people on the basis of lists provided by Government agencies.
