Ola Electric appoints Vithal Acharya as Head- HR

Ola Electric Mobility (OEM) has onboarded Vithal Acharya as its new Head -Human Resources, effective from May 2020

Vithal Acharya joins Ola Electric Mobility as Head -Human Resources, effective from May 2020. Prior to this, he was working with Sterlite Power as Chief People Officer.

He is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, experienced HR leader with a demonstrated history of working in high growth industries/sectors. Skilled in Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Recruiting, Human Resources, and Management. Previously, Vithal has worked with companies like GE, HCL Technologies, etc.

According to an ET report, Ola Electric Mobility plans to hire at least half a dozen more senior executives in the coming months to continue hiring for roles across the board at Ola Electric. The company is also onboarding over 75 campus hires in the next couple of months from leading business schools and premier technical institutions across India.

Ola Electric Mobility (OEM) is betting big on the electro-mobility segment as it has announced its “Mission Electric” and also deployed multiple battery swapping pilots across the country. Mission Electric is a platform to work with driver-partners, cities, vehicle manufacturers, battery companies, and others to make sustainable technologies cost-effective and viable in daily mobility.
