JP Morgan is hiring 6000 people in India, fresh talent can also apply

JP Morgan, a global leader in financial services, firm has announced to hire 6000 people across technology, operations, and other functions this year in Bengaluru, India.

The company is looking to hire in the areas of artificial intelligence/ machine learning, cyber security, cloud, architecture, data engineering, and data science as the bank plans to move 30 percent to 50 percent of its app and data to the cloud.

Lori Beer, Global Chief information officer, JP Morgan Chase, said to TOI that there would be hiring in the areas of Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning, cyber security, cloud, architecture, data engineering, and data science. And we’re also hiring infrastructure software engineers with a large base of private cloud platforms,”

“We outsource less than 10% of our IT. We have a total of 55,000 people in technology,” she added.

Beer further said, “Technologists are celebrated in the bank, and they grow the tech talent through a program called Expert Engineer, or E2.”

“We select talent that demonstrates skills and mastery in software engineering, and we grow those skills. We use E2 in key strategic projects. The highest technical distinction is the distinguished engineer,” she further said.

About a third of the 50,000 technologists in the bank are based in India. Overall, it employs about 34,000 people across the country. In India, the company has centers in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
