Shadowfax is planning to hire 75,000 delivery partners by July-end

The biggest on-demand tech-backed gig marketplace, Shadowfax is planning to hire 75,000 delivery partners by July end.

Commenting on hiring the company said, “Shadowfax will recruit 75,000 delivery partners across India by the end of July 2022. These riders can earn up to Rs 35,000 per month while benefitting from the free medical insurance with an accident and health cover of Rs 7.5 lakh.”

The benefits that delivery partners can avail themselves:

  • Riders can earn up to Rs 35,000 a month. 
  • These partners will receive benefits of free medical insurance with an accident and health cover of Rs 7.5 lakh.
  • The company also offers other rider benefits like flexible working hours, and a minimum earning guarantee for its community of delivery partners.
  • The company is open to hiring people who cannot commute long distances but want to earn money/be financially independent.

A company spokesperson said, “The gig economy has accelerated in India over the past few years, becoming one of the most preferred options and a reliable source of income for the country’s youth.”

“Shadowfax aims to create more job opportunities across the country, which will also help us strengthen our existing community of 120,000+ delivery partners,” the spokesperson added.

The company said, “With a simple onboarding course of, riders can full deliveries on their bikes or cycles, including, for many who don’t personal any automobile, the corporate additionally has an electrical automobile rental plan in place in choose cities.”

The platform had earlier introduced its plan to create 5,000 delivery associate jobs in Tamil Nadu. The B2C last-mile delivery platform serves over 170 enterprise clients across 900+ cities and delivers over a million orders every day.

Shadowfax employs ML and AI to offer supply that keeps pace with demand in the fast-growing and highly fragmented hyperlocal distribution ecosystem and ensures a wonderful end-user experience.
