DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce hiring Interns, registrations till 18 Jan

Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry has introduced an internship scheme (Social Media Intern).

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) was established in the year 1995 and was reconstituted in the year 2000 with the merger of the Department of Industrial Development.

Earlier, separate Ministries of Small Scale Industries & Agro and Rural Industries (SSI &ARI) and Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises (HI&PE) were created in October 1999. The department was earlier called Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion and was renamed DPIIT in January 2019.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and posting tweets on DPIIT & CIPAM’s Social Media platforms regularly.
  • Creating original content for various platforms as well as newsletters/ brochures/ pamphlets etc, as per stringent timeline.
  • Devise ways to disseminate the content in an interesting manner for different target audiences.
  • Ensure better communication within the department.
  • Design creatives and graphics for National Campaigns.

Requirements

  • Cover letter (with clearly mentioned interests and brief background).
  • Preferred candidates to join immediately.
  • X & XII Marksheet.
  • Updated Resume and current qualifications and semester (if pursuing).
  • The internship will be of 3 months.
  • Education Qualification: Diploma/ Degree in Graphic Designing, Mass Communication, Media Analytics, Business Administration, Advance computing, etc.)
  • Last date: 18 January 2023
  • Stipend: 10,000
  • Period of Internship:- The period of the Internship shall be a minimum of three months and may be extended as per the requirement.

In 2018, matters related to e-commerce were transferred to the Department and in 2019, the Department has been given charge for matters related to Internal Trade, the welfare of traders and their employees, and Startups.

The role of DPIIT is to promote/accelerate the industrial Development of the Country by facilitating investment in new and upcoming technology, foreign direct investment, and supporting the balanced development of industries.
