DCM Shriram appoints Sabaleel Nandy as CEO, Chemicals Business

DCM Shriram Ltd., a leading business conglomerate with a turnover of ₹9849 crore announced the appointment of Sabaleel Nandy as the CEO of its Chemicals Business.

Prior to joining DCM Shriram Ltd., Nandy was President & COO, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd leading its Operations, P&L, Strategy, M&A, and Global procurement. 

He did his engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, and MBA from IIM, Lucknow.

A global leader with demonstrated success at companies like TATA group, Zuari Agrochemicals, and Paradeep Phosphates Ltd., he has more than two decades of experience in Chemicals & Fertilizers having spent 18 years in Tata group companies like – TATA Motors, TATA Sons, TATA Chemicals.

He was also the VP of TATA Chemicals (North America) heading one of the world’s largest Soda-ash plants.

DCM Shriram Ltd – Chemicals business has manufacturing facilities in Kota (Rajasthan) and Bharuch (Gujarat). The business is on a growth trajectory and would complete investment of approximately ₹3000 cr at its Bharuch manufacturing facility by FY 23-24.

It is currently increasing the capacities of its existing portfolio of products i.e. Caustic Soda and Anhydrous Aluminium Chloride along with Power, while also venturing into new chemistries such as Epichlorohydrin (ECH) and Hydrogen Peroxide.
