Siemens appoints Nanda Majumdar as VP & Head- People & Org

A technology company, Siemens has appointed Nanda Majumdar as Vice President & Head – People & Organization, Digital Industries India, Siemens Limited.

She is an experienced HR professional with a 29-year career with broad and diverse leadership roles in Human Resources strategy and development, management consulting, communication, and business journalism.

Nanda has led the Human Resources function in India for the last 20 years in leading global organizations and has been part of the C-Suite driving company strategy and value.

She has valuable exposure to the challenges of leading organizations across a wide band of industries, adding to expertise in strategic leadership, organizational transformation and operational excellence, and knowledge of world-class methodologies and practices.

Her expertise includes People & Organization strategy and management, Leadership Development, Talent management, Organization Development, and Change management.

Additionally, her responsibilities have spanned broader strategic leadership roles spanning multiple functions, such as marketing and communications, strategy development, and intellectual capital management, among others.

Prior to Siemens, she was associated with Waterfield Advisors as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Her earlier stints include working with Nishith Desai Associates as Leader – Strategy, Innovation & Transformation; Strategic Legal Advisory, SAP as Head – Human Resources, Manpower Services India as Head-Human Resources, Universal Music India as Sr. G.M – HR & Administration, and Mercer HR Consulting as Sr. Consultant/Associate Director.

Nanda’s association was with Living Media Ltd as Special Correspondent. She started her career working with Business Standard Ltd. as Senior Correspondent.

She holds her PGDM, Management from The Times School of Marketing (TSM), Delhi. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from St. Xavier’s College.
