A Chinese multinational technology company, Alibaba Group Holding’s e-commerce arm in China is planning to hire more than 2,000 graduates.

Alibaba currently employs an overall headcount of over 200,000 employees. As per earlier reports, the company planned for layoffs of 10,000 employees.

The company is hiring due to record youth unemployment and as authorities eased their regulatory crackdown on technology platforms.

The company said on its page, “We aspire to be a good company that will last for 102 years. For a company that was founded in 1999, lasting for 102 years means we will have spanned three centuries, an achievement that few companies can claim.”

“Our culture, business models, and systems are built to last so that we can achieve sustainability in the long run”, the company added.
