Tech Mahindra ropes in Infosys veteran Richard Lobo as CHRO

An Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company, Tech Mahindra appoints Richard Lobo as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

According to TOI report, Tech Mahindra’s Chief People Officer Harshavendra Soin is relocating to Australia to lead the consolidated Asia Pacific and Japan business including ANZ -BFSI, SEA (Southeast Asia BFSI including Prudential).

However, Tech Mahindra has not confirmed the development yet. Richard Lobo is ex- Infosys HR Head, and Executive Vice President and he resigned from the company on August 4, 2023.

Richard is a global management professional with over 25 years of diverse experience spanning functions and industries.

He started his career in 1996 with the Godrej group, a large conglomerate in Mumbai. He then joined Infosys in 2000 and has been an integral part of its growth story.

At Infosys, Richard led the transformation of the HR functions, bringing in a strong business and people focus. He led its pivot to the new world of work, helped it navigate a complex talent environment as well as brought focus on upgrading its employee experience, talent advantage, and brought in a strong focus on diversity and inclusion.

Richard Lobo is an alumnus of Xavier’s Institute of Management and a Mechanical Engineer from Manipal Institute of Technology.
