According to Business World, a global software company, UiPath has recently made a significant announcement to upskill half a million individuals in India with artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge.

In addition to the initiatives announced at the UiPath Academic Summit, UiPath is planning to establish 50 Automation Skills Labs in different colleges across India.

These labs will provide students with a platform to enhance their automation skills and expertise, preparing them for future job opportunities in this field.

This initiative aims to bridge the gap between industry requirements and academic curriculum by providing hands-on training and practical experience in automation technology.

Announced at the 2024 UiPath Academic Summit in Bengaluru, India, UiPath, a leading automation software company, has introduced new measures to enhance upskilling opportunities for individuals in India.

Kirti Seth, CEO, of SSC Nasscom said, “Automation fueled by AI is transforming businesses and to leverage the growing opportunities, Sector Skills Council nasscom is adapting education to meet industry demands with a focus on practical career development.”

“UiPath’s efforts to skill half a million learners in India through the introduction of specialized learning plans for in-demand jobs, for 1.7 million learners on the FutureSkills Prime platform will significantly contribute to a skilled workforce that’s ready to make Inevitable India a reality”, Nasscom added.

Additionally, the company will provide 100 scholarships every year over the next three years for economically disadvantaged individuals to pursue UiPath certifications.

This comes after when recently, Microsoft is dedicated to aiding India in its journey toward becoming an AI-focused nation. The dedication is to India’s objective of achieving self-sufficiency by nurturing a proficient AI workforce and enabling all sectors and industries to transform using AI.

Microsoft has launched a significant skilling initiative in India called ADVANTA(I)GE INDIA, as part of its Skills for Jobs program. The objective of this initiative is to provide AI skills to 2 million individuals in India by 2025.
