IIM-B launches Leadership Coaching Certification; last date Feb 28

IIM Bangalore has launched the ‘Certificate Programme in Leadership Coaching’, a transformative nine-month programme designed for practicing managers and leaders looking to enhance their coaching skills and positively influence their teams. 

The programme is designed as a highly participative, interactive, and reflective learning journey. The content is relevant for coaching organizational employees in a dynamic, evolving, turbulent, and global world.

The blended programme design comprises three modules of in-person sessions spread over eight months, with virtual group coaching and learning sessions in between.

Explaining the objective of the course, Programme Director Prof. Debolina Dutta, faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area of IIM Bangalore, said, “The course has been designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to create an active coaching-based leadership culture in their organizations.” 

The experiential pedagogy focused on the art and practice of coaching is designed to help develop coaching effectiveness, blending personal, professional, and coaching skill development.

At the end of the programme, all participants will be able to develop their coaching presence and effectiveness, enabling them to coach and develop others effectively. The Participants will also gain actionable insights on developing a coaching culture within their teams.

The programme, which is scheduled to commence on 1st April 2024, will comprise a blend of in-person sessions and live, online sessions, spread over nine months. 

The course content is divided into three modules, with the first module focusing on the essence of coaching and developing individual as well as interpersonal effectiveness. The second module delves into the details of practicing and expanding coaching skills, while the last module allows participants to practically build their ‘Coaching Muscle’.
