Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Jal Shakti, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar launched ‘Investor Information and Analytics Platform’ developed by IIT Madras.
On the launch of ‘Investor Information and Analytics Platform’, The IT Minister, Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized that a holistic approach is crucial for comprehensively researching the innovation ecosystem, particularly to understand that has created a thriving startup innovation ecosystem in the past 2-3 years
Moreover, he also highlighted the certainly of addressing a gap in the visibility of the innovation ecosystem—how vast, deep, and diversified the startup innovation ecosystem is.
He also focused on the understanding that can help public policymakers in crafting responses and initiatives aligned with these dynamics.
This platform will act as a one-stop shop for startups to seamlessly access Venture Capitalists (VCs) and investor networks, Govt schemes, and several other components of the startup landscape for all stakeholders.
The platform “StartupGPT” is a one-of-a-kind AI-based conversational platform designed to simplify information retrieval for individuals dealing with large volumes of data.
Through this platform, users can ask questions in plain language and receive real-time access to the information they are seeking. To ensure the long-term viability of the platform, it will be available at a minimal cost, allowing a wide range of entrepreneurs to benefit from this valuable resource.
The platform has information on more than 200,000 start-ups, close to 11,000 angel investors and 5,000 VCs, about 1000 incubators, more than 100 Govt agencies that fund start-ups, and about 550 banks that have supported the start-ups.
IIT Madras has partnered with YNOS Venture Engine, an incubator start-up of IIT Madras in developing the platform. This technical partnership takes advantage of the strengths of private-sector enterprises and ensures that the platform is up-to-date and is available 24*7 for the benefit of users.
