Anuranjita Kumar, Head- HR, Royal Bank of Scotland steps down

Anuranjita Kumar, Managing Director Human Resources, International hubs, at The Royal Bank Of Scotland has announced her exit from the UK bank.

Anuranjita joined the RBS in September 2017, and prior to this, she was Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer, Citi South Asia. She began her career with Proctor and Gamble India.

With a career in HR spanning over 25 years, Anuranjita Kumar is known as an HR transformation leader focused on building the strategic capabilities of employees, global talent management and cultivating a shared and vibrant corporate culture. As the Managing Director and Head of HR for International Hubs at RBS, Anuranjita (Anu, as she is known in the industry), has been instrumental in setting up a transformational turnaround through a vibrant Employee Value Proposition as well as through strategic decision making as the bank evolved from its legacy issues.

Anuranjita has been recognized as amongst the ‘Most Powerful HR Professionals of India’, by the World HRD Congress in 2012 and amongst the ‘Most Powerful Woman Leaders’ by Fortune in 2013. She spearheaded a variety of initiatives, especially in the D&I space including a medical cover for LGBT couples and creating an industry cohort for improved growth prospects for women in the technology space through the ‘Women In Tech Forum’ amongst others.

Anuranjita is a management graduate of XLRI, specializing in Human Resources and a gold medalist and topper in industrial psychology from Delhi University.
