Airtel appoints Preeti Jain as Vice President – HR

Preeti Jain has joined Airtel as its new VP-HR effective from February 2022. In this role, she will head the HR function for Airtel’s network, broadband, and D2H businesses.

Jain has over 18 years of rich experience working in leadership roles with diverse industries which include IT, Telecom, and Semiconductor industries, and across cultures and geographies including USA, UK, China, and South-East Asia.

Before joining Airtel, Jain was leading the HR function at Droom, an online platform for buying and selling used cars, as its CHRO. She joined Droom in 2021, here, she worked with the company for one year.

Prior to Droom, Jain spent 11 long years working with Huawei where she served in various roles, including formulating Manpower Planning and Acquisition, Strategy formulation and implementation, Performance Management, Understanding Business Needs and translating then into HR Needs, Policy Formulations, and Process Implementation, Competency Management, Transition and Transformation including Manpower Transitions, Audits, and Certifications.

Jain started her career in 2001 at HFCL, a telecom solutions provider where she worked for three years. At HFCL, Jain got a handful of experience in all HR Practices such as Recruitment, Training, Performance Management exits, etc.

After working with HFCL, Jain joined Conexant. She joined Conexant as an HR manager and worked here nearly for four years. Then she moved on to join Huawei in 2009.

She holds MBA in Human Resources Management & Services from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, and did BSc in Mathematics from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya.
