Cognizant ropes in Apple Veteran Rashmi Vasisht as Vice President- Corporate Communications

IT Major, Cognizant Technology Solutions has announced the appointment of Rashmi Vasisht as Vice President- Corporate Communications, effective May 2021. She will be based out at Gurugram.

Rashmi has over two decades of experience in corporate communications, media relations, digital strategies, and public affairs across diverse industries and geographies. She has worked across complex global conglomerates for delivering transformational campaigns related to major technology, hospitality, and healthcare brands, often during changing and challenging scenarios, and is committed to a more sustainable and socially responsible world.

Most recently, before joining cognizant, Rashmi worked as Corporate Communications Lead for Apple India where she implemented robust communication strategies and communication mandates to promote the company’s reputation and amplify its brand value.

Earlier, she was associated with The Leela Palaces-Hotels and Resorts as Director-Public Relations and Corporate Communications for more than seven years. 

Previously, Rashmi has also been a part of the New York State Attorney General as Director – Health Care Policy & Communications. She started her career as a Senior Policy Analyst from Health Care Bureau in 1999.

Rashmi holds a master’s degree in journalism from New York University in 1998.
