Cyient Appoints Kavita Kurup as Chief People Officer

Cyient, a global Intelligent Engineering solutions company, has appointed Kavita Kurup as its Chief People Officer (CPO).

Based at the company’s Hyderabad headquarters, Kavita will oversee Cyient’s global human resources function, leading its people, talent, and culture agenda across all geographies.

With over 25 years of international leadership experience, Kavita brings expertise in business transformation, organizational strategy, and workforce evolution.

Her appointment aligns with Cyient’s growth ambitions, reinforcing its commitment to future-ready talent strategies.

Cyient’s leadership emphasized that Kavita’s appointment is critical to its next phase of growth.

Kavita Kurup’s Leadership Journey

Kavita’s career spans diverse industries, including Technology, BFSI, FMCG, Media, Not-for-Profit, and entrepreneurial ventures.

She has consistently reimagined talent ecosystems, positioning HR as a catalyst for business value.

Before joining Cyient, she held key leadership roles at:

  • UST – Played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s global people charter across 30+ countries.
  • Other global enterprises – Led enterprise-wide transformation efforts in talent strategy, leadership development, DE&I, culture building, and associate experience.

Kavita is a Harvard Business School alumna, a certified executive coach, and a board-certified independent director.

Her expertise in architecting agile organizations and cultivating high-performance cultures makes her a strategic asset for Cyient’s workforce evolution.
