Devyani International Appoints Souvik Sarkar as Head – HR

Devyani International Limited has announced the appointment of Souvik Sarkar as Head – Human Resources.

A seasoned HR professional with over 16 years of diverse experience, Souvik has a proven track record of driving people strategies, transformation initiatives, and leadership development across industries such as food and beverages, banking, and telecommunications.

A Strategic and Transformational HR Leader

Recognized as a strategic and results-driven HR leader, Souvik has demonstrated expertise in multiple facets of human resources, including HR Business Partnering, HR Shared Services, Process Transformation, Talent Acquisition, HR Technology, and People Analytics.

He has successfully designed and executed organizational people agendas by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across Sales, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience.

At Devyani International, his focus will be on strengthening the HR framework, enhancing talent management practices, and building future-ready capabilities to support the company’s fast-paced growth.

His ability to align HR strategy with business objectives makes him a valuable addition to the leadership team.

Career Journey and Educational Background

Prior to joining Devyani International, Souvik worked as Vice President & Head – HR, Training, and Performance Management at Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. (Domino’s India).

Previously, he has also held leadership roles with Rupeek, Airtel, Citi, and ICICI Bank, where he contributed to large-scale HR transformations, talent engagement, and performance culture building.

Souvik holds an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology and a PGDM in Human Resources from IMT, Ghaziabad.

His strong academic foundation and hands-on leadership experience uniquely position him to drive impactful HR initiatives at Devyani International.
