Leading hotel brand, Marriott International has announced the appointment of Vinay Jaswal as Senior Director- Human Resources, South Asia.
Vinay has confirmed the development on social media and said, “I’m excited to start my new journey with Marriott International as the Human Capital leader (Sr. Director- HR) for South Asia. Thanks for all your good wishes and blessings.”
Vinay is an Executive Coach and an HR Leader with rich experience in business building and culture transformation. He has successfully anchored HR initiatives in the areas of OD, business restructuring, talent management, shared services, and Succession planning in Telecom, BFSI, Education, Aviation, and Hospitality industry.
Vinay has nearly three decades of experience with close to 17 years of experience in HR. He has held various leadership roles. Prior to joining Marriott International, he was associated with IHG Hotels & Resort as HR Head South West Asia.
Earlier, Vinay was associated with IndiGo, InterGlobe Technology Quotient, iDiscoveri Education Pvt. Ltd., Hughes Communications India Ltd, and Aviva. He had also served in the Indian Army for more than 12 years as Defence Instructor / Troops Commander (Major).
While Working with InterGlobe Enterprises as Vice President (Group Corporate HR) he was responsible for Anchoring Group’s restructuring, transformation, senior leader coaching/development, and next-gen HR capability initiatives.
Vinay was also associated with InterGlobe Hotels as Vice President (Human Resources). He was responsible for transformation and culture change in the company. He had leadership capability building and business partnering to multiply people productivity at the workplace were some of the areas that anchored this change.Â
Earlier, he worked with InterGlobe Air Transport Limited (IGAT) as Head of Human Resources. At InterGlobe Air Transport (IGAT), he has to lead the HR efforts to partner with the business to drive employee productivity, people alignment, and cost optimization around a diverse workforce involving the Sales Force, Operation teams, and International Cabin Crew.
Vinay holds MBA in Human Resources and Operations from XLRI Jamshedpur. He completed his graduation (BSc Physics, Chemistry, Maths) from National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, Pune
