SAP appoints Shweta Mohanty Roy as new Head- HR, India

Software & technology solutions multinational company, SAP elevates Shweta Mohanty Roy as new HR- Head for India Business, Effective from April 11, 2022.

Shweta is associated with SAP for the last 6 years, most recently prior to this, she was working as Vice-President- Global HR Business Partner for Enterprise Cloud Services and SAP Labs Network.

She replaces, Shraddhanjali Rao who has recently resigned from the company as Vice President and Head-HR, SAP India for better career prospects outside the firm.

On this development Sindhu Gangadharan, SVP &Managing Director, SAP Labs Inda said on social media, “A very warm welcome to Shweta Mohanty Roy who joins us as the new Head of HR, SAP in India.”

“Shweta’s future-focused people strategy combined with a deep passion for purpose will be an asset to further elevate our people experience in the region and set new benchmarks on employee happiness and wellbeing.” She added.

Gangadharan further added, “At SAP, we empower our colleagues to become the best version of themselves. We’re confident Shweta’s keen interest in the areas of Early Talent, New Age Leadership, and Diversity will push the envelope further for SAP in India.”

Commenting on the appointment Shweta said, “I am humbled and honoured to take up the role of Head of HR, SAP in India. Through my past 6 years of journey with SAP, I am inspired by what SAP stands for and its deep commitment to being an innovation-led and purpose-driven organization, with people at its heart.”

“I truly believe in SAP’s culture of inclusion, and look forward to leading our future-fit organization committed to creating amazing people experience!” She added.

She has over two decades of experience in HR, Talent Transformations in complex and matrix business environments.

Her work has been on areas that can bring real change- whether it is Early Talent, New age leadership, or Diversity. Prior to joining SAP, Shweta worked with Microsoft India and Wipro in HR Leadership roles.

She holds MBA in Human Resources from Symbiosis Centre For Management and Human Resource Development.
