Subhashish Chakrabarty joins CaratLane as Chief People Officer

CaratLane, India’s leading jewellery brand under the TATA Group, has announced the appointment of Subhashish Chakrabarty as its new Chief People Officer, effective immediately.

In this role, he will lead the company’s people strategy and work closely with the leadership team to nurture and strengthen CaratLane’s culture.

He succeeds Benjamin Felix Rajkumar, who has now joined Page Industries as Chief People Officer.

A Rich Career in HR Leadership

With more than 18 years of experience in human resources across technology and manufacturing, Subhashish brings deep expertise in talent management, organizational development, and culture building.

Prior to joining CaratLane, he worked as HR Director at ElasticRun, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the company through rapid growth, transformation, and organizational change.

Reflecting on his journey there, he emphasized the importance of speed, transparency, and collaboration in driving transformation.

His career also includes senior HR roles at Amazon and a tenure as Head of HR at ITC Group, where he gained extensive experience in building people-centric organizations.

Subhashish holds a Master of Arts in HR and Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology.

He has also completed the CHRO Leadership Program at Cornell University, further strengthening his expertise in HR strategy and leadership.
