Wipro, one of India’s leading IT services firms, has promoted Dennis Sehgal to the role of Human Resources Director, reinforcing its ongoing focus on internal talent development and leadership stability.

The elevation comes as Wipro continues to recalibrate its workforce strategy under CEO Srinivas Pallia, with plans to hire 7,000–7,500 employees by December 2025 and a renewed emphasis on building future-ready teams.

Dennis, who has been with Wipro since May 2021, previously served as Senior Manager – HR.

A Career Marked by Cross-Industry HR Experience

Before joining Wipro, Dennis Sehgal held senior HR roles at Deloitte India, UnitedHealth Group, and Genpact, where he gained extensive experience in human capital consulting, talent management, and organizational development.

His career spans nearly two decades, with a strong foundation in strategic HR practices across consulting, healthcare, and IT services.

At Wipro, Dennis has played a key role in driving employee engagement, supporting leadership transitions, and contributing to HR transformation initiatives.

His elevation to HR Director is seen as a natural progression, given his contributions to the company’s talent agenda and his alignment with Wipro’s broader growth strategy.

Wipro Talent Revamp

Dennis’ elevation comes at a time when Wipro is actively investing in its internal talent base to drive growth.

The company has shifted its campus recruitment strategy to a “train and then hire” model, aiming to better align new hires with business requirements.

This approach reflects Wipro’s broader efforts to build a resilient and agile workforce capable of navigating market shifts and technological disruptions.
