Colgate-Palmolive appoints Prabha Narasimhan as MD & CEO, India

Colgate-Palmolive has announced the appointment of Prabha Narasimhan as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of its India business, effective from September 1, 2022.

She will succeed Ram Raghavan who is promoted as President in the parent company and will be based out of its headquarter in New York.

The current CEO and Managing Director of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ram Raghavan has been promoted as President, enterprise oral care, for Colgate Palmolive Company which is the parent company of Colgate Palmolive (India) Limited. He will be based out of Colgate-Palmolive (India) headquarter which is located in New York, United States.

In her most recent role, Prabha was associated with a Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) Executive Director- Home Care, and Unilever South Asia as Vice President- Home Care. She joined HUL in 2006 as a Regional Marketing Manager. 

Prabha has two decades of experience working across consumer marketing insights, customer development as well as satisfaction, brand marketing and development, and marketing roles in multiple geographies as well as categories such as beauty and personal care and refreshment.

Prabha did PGDBM- Marketing from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and started her career with Madura Garments as a general manager-strategy. Prabha worked for this organization for a year.
