Mahindra Automotive appoints Indrajeet Sengupta as SVP & CPO

Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive has appointed Indrajeet Sengupta as Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer effective June 15.

He will be based out of Mumbai. The reporting will be to Veejay Nakra, President – Automotive Division, and Rajeshwar Tripathi, CHRO – Automotive & Farm Equipment Sector (AFS).

Additionally, He will replace Manish Sinha who will move to a new role at Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services as Chief Human Resources Officer.

He is an experienced CXO, trusted business adviser, talent developer, innovation, and change leader. With nearly 28 years of experience in the HR domain, he has focused on Talent & Leadership, Organization Transformation, the Future of Work & workplace, and HR strategy.

Prior to Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive, Indrajeet was associated with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd as Executive Director and Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, he led a team of 120+ HR professionals in the deployment of the HR strategy and execution of HR services. He focused on Talent Management, Digital Learning, Total Rewards, the Future of Work, Employee Relations, DEI, Engagement, and Digitalisation of HR services.

His earlier stints include working with Johnson & Johnson as Chief Human Resources Officer – J&J India & South Asia and Mars as Director – Human Resources & Communication. He started his career working with GE India where he worked in various leadership roles.

He holds his Master’s in Business Administration, Human Resources, and Information Systems from the Xavier Institute of Social Service and completed his Bachelor of Arts ( Hons ), Sociology, and Psychology from Utkal University.
