Philips names Vishpala Reddy as new Head- HR

According to ET Report, Philips has hired Vishpala Reddy as its new Head- Human Resources for the Indian subcontinent, replacing Armaan Seth who has recently joined Syngenta. She is likely to join Philips next month.

With almost 20 years of experience in HR, currently, Vishpala leads Human Resources for Uber across the Asia Pacific mega-region (includes N.Asia, Japan, Philippines, Australia-New Zealand, and India S.Asia).

Vishpala had joined Uber in 2017 as the Chief People Officer – India & S.Asia, and prior to this, she was leading Human Resources for American Express in India across P&L, Servicing and Capability LOB’s comprising a diverse workforce of 12000+ employees.

She was with American Express for 12 years and has partnered with business leaders to drive the India Business transformation which was featured as a best practice by the Asia HR Executive Board.

Her experience includes driving change, managing a digital workforce, leadership enablement, employee brand communication, organization effectiveness and leading innovative programs on preventive healthcare, first of its kind D&I initiative in collaboration with four large multinationals.

In her earlier assignments, she had also worked with Aon Hewitt and Cognizant Technology Solutions.

Vishpala plays an active role as a Board member of National HR Development Network 2016-2019 and has led their Young Minds Advisory Board. She is an avid proponent to the cause of developing women and has been honored with “HR Influencer 2019” by Jombay, “Women Super Achiever Award” at World HRD Congress in 2016 and has been recognized as “LinkedIn Power Profile in HR” for 2018.

She did an MBA in HR from Symbiosis Centre for Management and HRD and a bachelor’s degree from St Francis Xavier College Mumbai.
