Tata Consumer Products appoints Tarun N P Varma as Global CHRO

Tata Group’s consumer products division, Tata Consumer Products has announced the appointment of Tarun N P Verma as Global CHRO.

In his new role, he will be responsible for developing a competitive and compelling employee value proposition (EVP) and embedding an integrated people agenda to accelerate delivery across all the pillars of TCP’s business strategy.

He will report to Sunil D’Souza, MD, and CEO, Tata Consumer Products.

Tarun has over two decades of experience. He has worked with organizations across Manufacturing, FMCG, Telecom, and Energy sectors. 

Prior to Tata Consumer Products, he was associated with Shell as Vice President HR – Global Technology Division. In this role, he was responsible for managing 3,000 passionate employees of over 70 nationalities and based out of more than 90 locations.

Earlier, Tarun was associated with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages as Associate Vice President – HR (Commercial, Strategic HR Projects). He started his career working with Nestlé as Manager – Corporate HR.

Tarun holds an MA in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He completed his Bachelor’s in Engineering from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur.
