Tesla India appoints Chithra Thomas as Country HR Leader

Tesla has appointed Chithra Thomas as Country HR Leader for India. As Tesla firms up its plans to roll out its first all-electric car in India this year, the Elon Musk-run company has hired top executives in the country who has taken charge of some of its operations in the country.

Prior to this, Chithra has worked with Reliance Retail, Walmart, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. She is a senior HR professional having over 18 years of work experience in Human Resources with proven effectiveness in providing vision and counsel to steer organizations through periods of accelerated growth across cultures and geographies in US, Brazil, UK, China, India, and Bangladesh.

Chithra has shaped high-performing cultures at Fortune 1, Fortune 11, and India’s largest Company with progressive HR Programs aligned to the business. She employs progressive human capital practices which provides a competitive edge in positioning the company as a compelling place to work.

Chithra holds master’s degree in Human Resources from Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai.

The company has also appointed Manuj Khurana as Policy and Business Development head for India operations and Nishant as Charging Manager who will head the supercharging, destination charging, and home charging business for Tesla India.

Tesla India is setting up its manufacturing plant in Karnataka. The company has already registered itself by the name ‘Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt Ltd’ with the Registrar of Companies, Bengaluru. It will most likely have its headquarters in the same state.
