Cognizant has addressed concerns about delayed salary hikes, confirming that merit increases for eligible employees will be implemented as planned in August.

The company also assured that bonuses for eligible associates will be paid in mid-March. Reports suggesting a delay in the salary cycle are inaccurate, the company stated.

In an official statement, Cognizant emphasized that the merit increase schedule remains unchanged. “Merit increases for eligible associates will be awarded in August, exactly one year after the prior cycle.

In fact, with the August 2025 cycle, most of our associates will have received five merit increases within the past four years,” the company said.

Addressing Concerns Over Reports of Delays

Recent reports claimed that Cognizant’s salary hikes, initially expected in April, had been pushed to August. The company clarified that there is no deviation from its usual cycle and that the timing of salary increases remains consistent with past years. Any claims suggesting otherwise are incorrect.

During a recent town hall meeting, CEO Ravi Kumar S acknowledged employee concerns about the timing of salary hikes. He reassured employees that the increases would be honored in August as part of a structured plan aligned with the company’s financial strategy and market conditions.

He also noted that Cognizant remains committed to rewarding employees for their contributions through both merit increases and bonuses.

Commitment to Employee Growth and Retention

Cognizant reiterated its dedication to recognizing employee performance and staying competitive in the IT sector. By maintaining regular salary hikes and bonuses, the company aims to retain talent and provide financial stability for its workforce.

The firm confirmed that bonus letters would be issued this month, ensuring that eligible employees receive their payments on time. “We remain committed to recognizing the hard work and dedication of our associates through merit increases and bonuses,” the company stated.

With the August 2025 salary cycle, most Cognizant associates will have received five merit increases in four years, reinforcing the company’s efforts to support employee growth and retention.
