EPFO Update: EPF marriage advance facility for members

One of the World’s largest Social Security Organisations, The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has recently updated the Employees Provident Fund marriage advance facility for members.

The EPFO has recently shared a post on social media platform X (formally Twitter) saying, “Members can avail EPF marriage advance facility on completion of seven years of membership.”

The conditions for the EPF marriage advance facility:

Applicable Cases:-

  1. Marriages of Member
  2. Marriage of Son/ Daughter
  3. Marriage of Brother/ Sister

Amount: Upto 50% of own share with interest

Conditions:

  1. Seven years’ membership of the fund.
  2. Not more than three advances for marriage and education.

Recently, Union Minister for Labour & Employment, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the 71 Foundation Day of EPFO held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi through virtual mode.

Bhupender Yadav further exhorted EPFO to become a hassle-free and technology-driven Organization.

Shri Rameshwar Teli, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Petroleum & Natural Gas, Smt. Arti Ahuja, Secretary Labour & Employment and Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Central P F Commissioner, Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General, ESIC were also present.

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation has grown in the years gone by and the way it is managing its huge corpus of savings of the members.

The ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat,’ an outreach program conducted by every EPFO office at the district level on the 27th of each month.

The Union Minister also stated that EPFO had extended the Act’s provisions to the working class of Jammu and Kashmir, effective from October 31, 2019.
