India has made significant strides in its commitment to combating climate change, emerging as a global leader in renewable energy.

Moreover, the companies are investing in the sectors. Recently, Suzlon Group, India’s largest renewable energy solutions provider, has announced a new order for the development of 551.25 MW wind power project for the Aditya Birla Group.

Suzlon will install 175 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each at sites in the Barmer district in Rajasthan and Bhuj district in Gujarat.

As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and execute the project, including erection and commissioning, in Rajasthan, while they will supply, supervise, and commission the project in Gujarat.

According to ET, the nation ranks 4th worldwide in installed renewable energy capacity. It holds the same position in wind power capacity and ranks 5th in solar power capacity.

These achievements show India’s dedication to its climate mitigation program and the transition towards sustainable energy sources.

As the renewable energy sector expands, the demand for skilled professionals is soaring. Solar engineers, wind turbine technicians, and project managers are among the most sought-after roles, tasked with designing, constructing, and maintaining the infrastructure driving India’s green energy revolution.

The surge in clean energy targets set by the government has catalyzed this demand, prompting a hiring spree across the industry.

According to the money control Report, Sterlite Power, a key player in India’s energy landscape, is witnessing a notable uptick in recruitment activity.

The company reports a 20-30 percent increase in hiring this financial year, driven primarily by heightened demand in manufacturing, transmission, and renewable energy segments.

This surge reflects the broader trend within the industry as companies strive to meet ambitious targets and capitalize on the growing momentum toward sustainability.

The influx of skilled professionals into the renewable energy sector not only fuels economic growth but also contributes to India’s environmental objectives.
