The Flipkart Foundation, the philanthropic branch of Flipkart Group, has partnered with Kineer Services, an advocate for gender sensitivity, to introduce ‘Trans-formation’, an initiative targeting the upliftment of marginalized transgender individuals and LGBTQ+ community members.
This collaboration aims to offer thorough skills training to 300 transgender and LGBTQ+ individuals, enabling them to secure dignified employment through successful job placements.
Spanning Delhi and Mumbai, this joint endeavor highlights a commitment to fostering livelihoods and promoting social inclusion for LGBTQ+ individuals, who will receive personalized assistance at each stage.
These include the establishment of training facilities, mobilization, hands-on holistic training, certification, and job creation and placement.
Commenting on the programme, Puja Trisal, Director, of Flipkart Foundation, said “Through our collaboration with Kineer Services, we are not just providing skill training and job placements, we are also actively breaking social barriers and advocating for the respectful recognition of the trans community and other LGBTQ+ individuals.”
“This initiative exemplifies our belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the workforce and the society at large”, Puja Trisal added.

Previously, the Flipkart Foundation collaborated with underserved communities in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, aiming to assist, uplift, and empower underprivileged segments of society across diverse sectors.
