HCLTech, a leading global technology company, has announced an expanded alliance with Google Cloud to create industry solutions and drive business value with Gemini, its multimodal large language AI model.

HCL Technologies (HCLTech) plans to empower 25,000 engineers with training on Google Cloud’s cutting-edge GenAI technology.

This initiative aims to enhance client support throughout various stages of AI projects, fostering the creation of novel use cases and capabilities for HCLTech’s platforms and products.

Initially, the focus will be on implementing Gen AI capabilities for clients in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and telecom, thereby advancing innovation and efficiency in these industries.

HCLTech recently launched HCLTech AI Force, a pre-built GenAI platform that optimizes engineering lifecycle processes from planning through development, testing and maintenance.

HCLTech will now enhance the HCLTech AI Force platform with Gemini’s advanced code completion and summarization capabilities, which will allow engineers to generate code, remediate issues and accelerate the delivery time and quality of software projects for clients.

C Vijayakumar, CEO & Managing Director, HCLTech said, “HCLTech and Google Cloud have a long-standing strategic partnership. This collaboration will bring to market HCLTech’s innovative GenAI solutions using Google’s most capable and scalable Gemini models.”

“We believe this helps us to bring even more value to global enterprises through HCLTech’s differentiated portfolio,” C Vijayakumar added.

Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud said, “By enabling 25,000 engineers on Google Cloud’s latest generative AI technology, HCLTech can provide the expertise and technical skills that clients need to successfully deploy and manage gen AI projects at scale.”

Additionally, the company plans to leverage Gemini models to bolster and broaden its array of industry solutions developed within its dedicated Cloud Native Labs and AI Labs.

These labs are geared towards expediting client innovation and are manned by top-tier AI specialists and engineers, further enhancing the company’s commitment to advancing technological capabilities and client-centric solutions.
