ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a chatbot developed by OpenAI that is designed to generate human-like responses to natural language queries.

It has been trained on a massive amount of text data from the internet, including books, articles, and web pages. ChatGPT can be used in a variety of applications, such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and automated customer service systems, to provide fast and efficient responses to user inquiries.

IBM CEO Arvind Krishna has stated that artificial intelligence is on a rapidly progressive pace to take over “clerical white-collar work”.

According to Arvind Krishna following fields will find the automation

  • Customer Service: The AI taking over customer service could also get clients a “much better answer at maybe around half the current cost. Over time, it can get even lower than half, but it can take half out pretty quickly”.
  • Human Resources: IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said, “Promoting people, hiring people, moving people while the final judgement calls are still left in human hands. There are hundreds of such processes inside every enterprise, so I do think clerical white collar work is going to be able to be replaced by this.”
  • Finance and health care: IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said, “It is the “regulatory work” that will no longer need to be done by people.” “A big chunk of that could get automated using these techniques. Further out AI will likely be capable of managing “things like drug discovery or in trying to finish up chemistry”.

While speaking with Financial Times IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said, “He asserted that AI can address the world’s labour shortage issue.”

“In the actual world, there is a labour shortage due to a demographic problem that the globe is currently experiencing. Currently, the United States has the lowest unemployment rate in 60 years at 3.4%”, he added.

He further said, “the good news this time is that perhaps we can find instruments that can replace part of the labour.”
