Sundar Pichai has said the company had managed to establish contact with all employees working in or traveling to Israel.

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, has expressed in his email in a post shared on X (formally Twitter) the post said, “Deeply saddened by the terrorist attacks in Israel this weekend and the escalating conflict underway. Google has 2 offices and over 2,000 employees in Israel.”

“It’s unimaginable what they’re experiencing. Our immediate focus since Saturday has been on employee safety. We’ve now made contact with all of our local employees, and will continue supporting them”, the post added.

The post further said, “We’re also working to provide reliable, accurate information to people through our products, as well as sharing the cyber activity that our experts are seeing.”

“We’ll be supporting humanitarian and relief organizations on the ground. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families”, the post said.

Moreover, Wipro has asked its employees in Israel to work from home (WFH) until further notice as the company follows the safety measures.

A short time ago before Wipro’s comment, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said that it is closely monitoring the safety of employees stuck in Israel.

A TCS executive said, “We are monitoring, and have been in touch with the HR (human resources) officials there. We are helping them with safety measures.”

“There are some employees from India and their families,” TCS executive added.

As of April 2023, Tata Consultancy Services had around 1,100 employees in the country. Israel has an estimated 15,000 to 18,000 Indians, comprising both students and professionals.

Apart from this, the reports have also suggested that Citigroup said, “We are monitoring the situation in Israel carefully.”

“The safety of our colleagues is our highest priority and at the same time we remain focused on serving our clients,” Citigroup added.

Moreover, an American multinational financial services firm, JPMorgan has asked its 200 employees in Israel to work from home (WFH) due to the current situation in the country.

According to Reuters, JPMorgan has taken the step following a deadly attack by Palestinian Islamist group Hamas two days ago.
