TCS is working on 100 GenAI projects across Tata Group

A global enterprise, TCS is currently involved in more than 100 Gen AI projects across the companies within Tata Group which are yielding substantial benefits in enhancing customer experience, productivity, and efficiency within its retail and manufacturing domains.

These initiatives exemplify Tata’s proactive approach towards harnessing cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and improve operational performance across its diverse business portfolio.

By leveraging AI-driven solutions, Tata Group aims to stay at the forefront of industry trends, ensuring that its businesses remain agile, competitive, and capable of meeting evolving consumer demands while simultaneously fostering sustainable growth and development.

During Tata Consultancy Services Ltd’s (TCS) 29th annual general meeting (AGM), Natarajan Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons Ltd, emphasized the profound influence of GenAI across various industries, acknowledging its transformative potential alongside inherent uncertainties.

He also emphasized on significance and relevance of e-commerce, highlighting its role in reshaping product catalogs, enriching shopping experiences, and customizing individualized offers.

Furthermore, in the manufacturing sector, GenAI equips shop floor workers with the ability to troubleshoot intricate machinery in their native languages, thereby significantly boosting productivity.

Earlier in January, the company said that it aimed to create one of the world’s largest AI-ready workforce Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has strengthened its AI capabilities across its value chain.

After training over 150,000 employees in the foundational skills of Generative AI, TCS has launched an AI Experience Zone, to foster hands-on proficiency in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) for its employees.
