Ernst & Young (EY) has launched the EY SDG Accelerator Program 2025, a groundbreaking initiative designed to support women-led AI ventures that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program aims to bridge the gender gap in tech entrepreneurship while fostering AI-driven solutions that address critical global challenges such as climate change, healthcare, education, and social equality.

The six-month accelerator program provides mentorship, funding opportunities, and international visibility to selected women entrepreneurs, helping them scale their AI-powered businesses for social innovation and environmental sustainability.

EY SDG Accelerator Program: Program Objectives and Benefits

The EY SDG Accelerator Program is structured to empower women entrepreneurs by offering:

  • Dedicated one-on-one EY business coaching to refine business strategies.
  • Technical workshops and capacity-building sessions led by industry experts.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

To qualify for the EY SDG Accelerator Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Tech for Good: The venture must use AI/ML for social impact and follow responsible AI practices.
  • Female Founder: The applicant must be a female founder, co-founder, or owner of the company, holding a significant ownership stake and serving as the key decision-maker.
  • Social Enterprise: The business must be a for-profit, nonprofit, hybrid, or cooperative social enterprise.
  • Geographic Focus: The organization must operate in Africa, Latin America, South, or Southeast Asia.
  • Legal & Operational Status: The business must be legally incorporated and in operation for at least one year.
  • Growth Potential: The applicant must demonstrate scalability, aiming to grow both the business’s income and impact.
  • Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required, as the program operates globally.

The EY SDG Accelerator Program receives strong backing from Bright Tide, Microsoft, and Women’s World Banking, reinforcing its global impact.

This collaboration ensures that participants gain access to cutting-edge AI insights while benefiting from advanced financial inclusion strategies.

This initiative actively accelerates innovation in AI-driven social enterprises, empowering women-led ventures to make a meaningful impact.

It also aims to bridge funding and support gaps that often pose challenges for women entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses.
