IBM has announced its Virtual Internship in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for 2025, offering students a six-week online training and project experience guided by industry experts.
The program, launched in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Edunet Foundation, aims to equip students with practical AI skills while providing certifications, academic credit, and digital badges to enhance their resumes and LinkedIn profiles.

The IBM AI Virtual Internship 2025 is designed to provide hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning.
Some of its standout features include:
- AI Fundamentals Training: Interns will master the basics of AI, machine learning algorithms, and neural networks.
- Hands-On Projects: Participants will apply their knowledge to real-world AI challenges using IBM’s tools and techniques.
- Weekly Virtual Sessions: Industry experts from IBM and Edunet Foundation will conduct live training modules.
- Project Guidance & Mentorship: Interns will collaborate with mentors to complete a personal AI project showcasing their skills.
- Final Submission & Certification: Upon completion, interns will receive an IBM–AICTE certificate, academic credit, and a verified digital badge.
Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related technical fields.
- Students enrolled in BE, BTech, BCA, or MCA programs at recognized institutions in India.
- Candidates with a strong interest in AI, machine learning, and digital innovation.
Internship Duration and Application Process
- Duration: The internship runs for six weeks, starting in June 2025.
- Location: 100% remote (Work From Home).
- Stipend: The internship is unpaid, but provides academic credit and certification.
- Certification: Interns will receive an IBM–AICTE certificate and digital badges for each learning milestone.
- Number of Openings: 5,000 seats available.
