Bajaj Auto extends benefits to families of deceased employees due to COVID-19

Bajaj Auto, an Indian multinational two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing company extends some benefits to families of employees who lost their lives battling with COVID-19.

Annoccining the benefits, the company wrote on LinkedIn, “In keeping with the resolve to provide unwavering support to our employees in these difficult times, we have announced the following support for the families of employees who have passed away due to this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.”

This support is applicable to all permanent employees retrospectively from April 1st, 2020.

Support offered under this policy

  • Payment of monthly salary up to ₹2 Lakhs p.m. for 24 months.
  • Education assistance – ₹1 Lakh per child p.a. up to 12th std. & ₹5 Lakhs p.a. per child for graduation. (Max. 2 children)
  • Extension of medical insurance for 60 months for the dependents.

These benefits are over and above other Life Insurance benefits offered by Bajaj Auto Ltd.

“As an employee-centric organization, we will continue to provide constant support to all our employees through various measures & initiatives including but not limited to COVID care facilities, proactive testing, hospitalization assistance, vaccination camps, etc.” The company said in a statement.

Together, we aim to come out of the crisis, stronger than ever., the company added.
