DXC Technology plans to hire 5,000 engineers from campuses in India next year

DXC Technology, a global IT services company plans to hire 5,000 technology graduates from campuses in India next year with a strong focus on candidates with digital technology skills.

DXC Technology, formed in 2017 through the merger of Computer Sciences Corp (CSC) and the enterprise services business of Hewlett Packard. In India, DXC has 25 offices, spread across 10 major cities serving more than 1100 clients. And it has nearly 40,000 employees in India of its global employee base of 138,000.

Vinod Bagal, EVP, Global Transformation at DXC, said “We haven’t been active in the college scene for the last couple of years…but now we are targeting all premier institutions. We will be primarily looking for analytics and software skills that suit the deep engineering work we do,”

Human capital has been one of the key focus areas for DXC Technology since its new chief executive Mike Salvino came on board in September this year. he added.

The company has been looking to ramp up its digital talent and build capabilities in emerging technologies since it has been seeing growth challenges.
