Haryana Government has announced a revised wage structure for part-time and daily wage employees, effective from January 1, 2025.

The update was formalized through a notification issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, and applies to workers employed under the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN).

The revision introduces two salary slabs, offering greater transparency and equitable remuneration for workers engaged on a part-time or hourly basis.

Haryana Wage Structure Revision: Breakdown of Revised Wage Slabs

The new wage structure is based on monthly salary benchmarks and includes corresponding daily and hourly rates:

Monthly SalaryDaily WageHourly WageMonthly Salary for 1 Hour/Day
₹19,900₹765₹96₹2,487
₹24,100₹927₹116₹3,012

These calculations are based on a 26-day working month, with hourly wages derived from an 8-hour workday.

The government has clarified that fractions of ₹0.50 or more will be rounded up, while those below ₹0.50 will be ignored.

Compensatory Leave for Group-C and D Employees

Alongside the wage revision, the government has amended the Haryana Civil Services (Leaves) Rules, 2016, to provide compensatory leave for Group-C and Group-D regular employees.

Key provisions include:

  • Employees performing official duty on a notified holiday are entitled to compensatory leave within one month.
  • Leave can be clubbed with other holidays or station leave, but the total duration must not exceed 16 days.
  • If a leave request is denied, employees may reapply within 15 days, failing which the leave will lapse.
  • No compensatory leave will be granted if a financial incentive has already been provided for the same day.

Extension of Outsourced Contracts

The government has also extended the contract period for employees working under Outsourcing Policy Part-2 in various departments, boards, and corporations.

These contracts will now remain valid until July 31, 2025, offering continuity and stability to thousands of workers across the state.
