Oracle to layoff in US, expected layoffs in Canada, India, & Europe

A cloud technology company that provides organizations around the world with computing infrastructure and software, Oracle Corp has started to lay off employees in the United States.

Post-Covid many companies across the globe are laying off employees due to economic slowdown. The layoffs at Oracle will affect employees at its offices in the San Francisco Bay Area but the exact number of employees affected is still unknown. The company had about 143,000 full-time employees as of May 31.

According to sources, The Company may lay off in Canada, India, and parts of Europe were expected in the coming weeks and months.

Although, the company is known for embracing diversity, encouraging personal and professional growth, and celebrating a global team of passionate people developing innovative technologies that help people and companies tackle real-world problems head-on at work.

Reuters in July reported that Oracle was considering cutting thousands of jobs in its global workforce after targeting cost cuts of up to $1 billion. Earlier, Google and Microsoft have also slowed the hiring process due to the recession.
