A founder shared a pic of the job applicant’s CV saying that she has 13 years of experience as a homemaker.
Yugansh Chokra, Founder of Growthic, shared a post saying, “We saw this CV, she has 13 years of experience as a homemaker. Definitely, something that can make her stand out.”
“And the reason I love this is because managing a family is a real task, something that can’t be undervalued. Less than 20% of women in India are working in a professional capacity”, the post added.
“Gender gaps in housework participation are the largest among couples with children”, the post further added.
“It’s a real job, you can’t just discount the amount of work someone has to do to manage a family. Thoughts on this type of CV?”, The post concluded.
The post has been viral on social media and has received various reactions. One user said, “Yugansh Chokra thank you for posting it!! Hopefully, people start accepting it in reality instead on paper or on social media. I just took a 8 months of career gap to look after my newborn and it’s still hard to justify the career gap and get the job application to move forward.”

Dozens of interviews were given but no one hired me. What’s the use of spending time, energy, and money for 21 years (studying). Again saying she deserves the best Along with women who are struggling to make ends meet apart from capabilities and studies”, another user said.
